This is one of his … Read more Magnificent VTG Raku art pottery orb vase by renowned California potter Tony Evans, circa 1970’s. This is one of his larger vessels with a 38.5” circumference at widest point. Textured with a snakeskin like pattern, gorgeous neutral color variations all around in brown hues and subtle terracotta undertones. Vase is not signed or numbered but does have original retail stickers on bottom. Please note this piece was designated as a gallery “second”, possibly due to two subtle imperfections in glaze shown in third photo(?) but it is truly a stunning piece and displays beautifully. I have seen other color variations of this particular vase shape but none with the snakeskin texture. From family estate with large art pottery collection, excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
