This timeless and fabulous vintage 1950's Swarovski rhinestone bracelet is so well made by Henry Bogoff that it looks real. It is signed Bogoff. These amber/brown faceted cut rhinestones with clear rhinestones that look like diamonds make this a forever bracelet. When closed it is 2.75" wide. Even the top of the safety clasp has a clear rhinestone. His pieces were elegantly crafted with quality materials often using rhodium plated settings and well above average Swarovski rhinestones. All of his stones were hand set. He designed for Saks Fifth Avenue and opened shops in New York, L.A. and was a leading supplier of costume jewelry. As a matter of fact, his ads read that he designed jewelry for the elegant lady on a budget. He started his business in Chicago in 1945 and closed in the 1960's. HIs quantities were limited and and it is very uncommon to find in the markets today. He has been compared to the work of Eisenberg. The weight is good and solid and is 84.8 grams or 131.8 DWT. A true beauty! It may never have been worn! This is a very special bracelet and is on the rare side. This is perfect for your evening wear dressy attire and can also be used for dressy daytime wear.
