This Victorian circa 1860 cast iron Rococo style table top mirror is painted in red with gilt highlights. The decoration consists of a red frame and gilt trailing ivy with scroll work. The oval mirror is hinged within its framework. The shell at the base of the mirror provides a dish. The mirror is held to the frame with period brad type fixtures.
This Victorian cast iron mirror is in good original condition. The mirror has lost some of its silvering which results in streaks. The cast iron is in very good shape with minor losses to the paint.
