Very beautiful, antique Suribachi (擂鉢) from the Meiji period.
Gorgeous, beautifully colored patina. A unique decorative piece, very attractive as an object in itself. Perfectly usable as a fruit or nut bowl. Dimensions: height 16.5 cm, diameter 37 cm.
