With one eye closed and the other open, the playful and sultry self portrait of Helene Guetary is strikingly different from many of her more minimalist, conceptual works focusing on dance and movement. However, the close-cropped likeness of the artist's own face features a sense of energy formed from the deep contrast of color and flirty expression.
