Neoclassical mirror in carved and partially lacquered and gilded wood, Lombardy last quarter of the 18th century. Medallion frieze with love knot placed on the top, made with a ribbon and held by a float, and richly carved floral festoons; gilt moldings, mercury mirror. Decorated in the upper part with a cancurrent motif enriched with golden leaf elements, attributable to the iconographic repertoire of Giocondo Albertolli (Bedano 1742–Milan 1839), Swiss-Italian architect, decorator and teacher. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
