Monumental sculpture by danish artist kai nielsen made in 1922 at "kähler" workshop ("hak"). The sculpture depicts a scene from the ancient greek legend of "zeus & io". It is made from unglazed terra-cotta (earthenware) and is signed by the artist ("kai nielsen") and the workshop ("hak, denmark"). A rare and magnificent piece of art. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
