The carving and gold leaf are in a good state of preservation with only minor chips to the gilt as pictured. The back of the frames are covered in green damask, perhaps added later. The wood on the back has nice oxidation, indicating they may date to the late 19th century. Hooks at the top make them easy to hang. A stunning pair. See less
