Own a piece of Old Hollywood history with this upholstered fauteuil from the Set of Gone with the Wind (1939)
The early 19th century French Empire mahogany bergères Aux Dauphins Empire armchair in the manner of Pierre Bellange (1760-1844). circa 1830
Having a solid mahogany frame with flame mahogany top rail, arms curved and richly carved with a mythological dolphin’s head at the front and a scale tail motif at the back.
With sabre front legs continuing as arm supports, adorned with molded detail to the front and palmette relief carving to the flanks, a square back slightly curved, the uprights a continuation of the raked rear legs. Upholstery heavily worn and distressed.
