A very high-quality George III mahogany chest on chest, tallboy.
This chest on chest in two parts, the top having a stepped cornice and the top having two short over three long graduated drawers, each drawer is cockbeaded and brass handle and brass key escutcheon.
There is a green leather top pullout shelf with 2 brass knobs.
The base section has three long graduated drawers again with brass hardware and the chest is raised on ogee bracket feet.
This chest is a cut above the norm, with the hallmarks of a good Georgian London workshop.
One key is included. The locks are original and function.
