"Full Self" Original by Benedict Scheuer
Full Self explores the relationship between Victor and the Creature as two halves of a single whole, locked in what could be struggle or an embrace. Benedict plays with the ambiguity of whether his work portrays a single figure looking at its reflection or two individuals, and whether that distinction even matters. Amid a balance of light and darkness a sense of fullness is found. Benedict explores heavy themes upon the light, delicate material of dyed silk. Depicted on silk, the artwork is light and breathable.
