The excellent First Edition of the 256-page pictorial hardcover was edited by Harry Golding. A stated Third Edition, this was published by War, Lock & Co., Ltd. London and Melbourn. There is no copyright date, but presumed from the 1920s.There are many black-and-white photos and 13 colour plates. With visits to Mt. Everest, the Jungles of Borneo, Peru, Australia, Labrador (and more). The stunning 100-year-old photographs display natives, wild animals and unspoiled lands. The endpapers are by the famed cartoonist, Thomas Maybank. This book is in excellent vintage/antique condition. The text, art and photos are clean, bright and unmarked. This is a handsome book to display on coffee table or shelf, but also a time-travel back to nature, when it was mostly unscathed. The large book will be carefully packed and sent with tracking. A joy to behold. See less
