This gorgeous celery dish / bowl is made of porcelain. This piece is stamped as being made by RS Prussia, see pictures, and the stamp dates this piece to 1870-1918. This bowl is a celery dish, used in the late 19th century to serve cooked celery that couldn't stand upright in a celery vase; it is made in a lovely oval-shaped silhouette with a subtle ruffled rim, two small handles, and a gorgeous motif of pink roses to the interior with lovely gold detailing around the rim of the dish.
The measurements: height=2" width=12" depth=6 1/4" approx.
