A platter from the 'Romana' series designed by Hana Machovska in 1961 and produced by Mstišov in Czechoslovakia in the early 1960s, this series was considered the author's most important design and was featured in the book by Mark Hill, highly regarded among connoisseurs, 'Sklo: Czech Glass Design from the 1950s-70s'.
It is a massive object with an asymmetrical, organic form made of hand-formed glass in three colors.
Preserved in very good condition with minor signs of time. Micro splashes and minor local scratches (most on the base). Clear glass with no deposits. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
