This vintage hand-painted Japanese divided serving dish has a beautiful persimmon design with a matching hand-painted lacquer box. The antique Japanese ceramic platter is divided into seven compartments making it a practical choice for serving sushi, hor d'oeuvres, and condiments.
The vintage circa 1920s serving set shows age-appropriate wear. The ceramic pottery platter has no chips and no cracks, but it does have considerable crazing as shown in the photographs. The lacquer box has some chips and a nice patina of age.
The serving platter and lacquer box are each marked "Made in Japan."
