Titled “Love” the abstract painting features three figures in a group hung. The details of the 21” x 20” painted image is highly intricate. It has motion and texture in its execution. This is one of the 40 Artist Proofs run in rice paper. It’s hand signed in pencil and numbered 22/40. Tiefeng was born in China in 1938. He won a competitive painting contest to be admitted into an artist academy where he learned to paint and sculpt. He and many of his artist friends were suppressed during the Mao regime as the head of the Communist Party was against artistic freedom. Tiefeng migrated to the United States in 1983 to escape the political persecution. This piece is framed in a black and gold acrylic. There is a double mat.
