Handcrafted of walnut with walnut & other wood veneers, decorative overhang to top, wood keyhole escutcheons to doors with brass keys for opening, wood knob interior hardware, and a solid base. Upper section has one large lockable drawer of dovetail construction at the very top over the lockable drop down desk surface door which reveals a large solid desk surface, open mirrored center cubby flanked on either side by four small dovetail drawers over a long drawer of dovetail construction. Lower section has a lockable two door cabinet revealing interior storage which is paper lined and has one fixed center wood shelf. Includes three keys. One piece construction. Handcrafted in Austria, in the 19th Century.

Very good antique condition with signs of wear consistent with age and normal previous use. Some wood separation on the right side and minor warping to the desk top from advanced age, see photos. Some minor veneer chips and the interior paper liner is worn. Desk top, doors, drawers, and locks function properly. Has three keys. Structurally sound and sturdy. See less
