Dimensions: 13 ¾” H x 10 ½” D
A French terracotta olive oil/water jar from the 19th century, with wonderful glazes of vibrant orange and detailed cream and black decorations of fluid lines surrounding foliate designs. Hand-crafted in France circa 1850 this terracotta vessel has a circular opening on top with thick lip, a wide comfortable handle, frontal spout, and an adjacent wide molded handle. An all-over glaze is covered with charming hand painted designs and a wonderful patina. By its gorgeous shape, color and rustic charm this artifact of culinary history would make a lovely decorative addition to any home. Be sure to view all of the images for a closer look.
