Extremely rare Antique Firehouse Cane Barrel Tilting Armchair.
There are two tilting springs under seat that allow up to a 5-inch tilt.
Condition: Functional and sturdy, likely refinished and replacement cane on seat and back in perfect condition.
Made in Massachusetts most likely 1890-1925.
Crest rail and arms are bent/curved crest, turned spindle supports, turned stretchers, dark stained hardwood frame.
