This triptych by Franco Costa (1934-2015) depicts the Manhattan skyline in vibrant shades of purple, beige, pink, gray, and brown. It is a wonderful example of his work and would be the focal point of any room.
Franco Costa was an Italian artist whose works have been exhibited in New York, Washington, Newport, Paris, London, Copenhagen, Oslo and many other cities. His art ranges between pictorial themes such as landscapes, flowers, the sea, and sporting events such as sailing competitions, tennis, skiing, horse riding, car racing.
In 1980 he was official artist of the America's Cup, which led the way for his participation in several other sporting events such as the Whitbred Round World Race, Sky Race Vesalloppet and the sailing races of Barcelona Olympics on behalf of the French Sailing Federation. Equally important are the works created for some significant humanitarian initiatives such as the International Year Of Child for Unicef, Food for All for Fao, 2000 Enfants pour l'Anne 2000, and the Light of Sweden Foundation. Among other charitable purposes, the foundation was founded for starving children around the world. The artist donated part of his income and also motivated other people to donate.

It is in very good vintage condition. I do not think the imperfections would be very noticable from a normal viewing distance when framed under glass. less
