Here we see an elaborate shield form serving as the basis for the design, which has been festooned with exuberant foliate and shell accents blending with floral swags and powerful yet graceful scrolled features. The ornamentation is continuous, starting at the tip of the crest above to the shell at the very bottom. The reflective mirror has been cut to follow the complex contours of the frame, with the mirror glass being replaced at some point in the last few decades, allowing one to enjoy this wonderful accent for decades more to come!
