Original vintage travel poster - Continental Airlines promoting San Jose, California.
Continental, the Proud Bird with the Golden Tail, features a rich design with iconic images of the Bay Area enshrined in a colorful stained glass window. The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, the cable cars, and the "painted ladies" are included in the promotional poster.
Vibrant colors of blue, orange, and red are printed on a rich linen paper, and the bottom left corner is stamped AJ 88 Printed in the U.S.A. Unframed, the poster measures 25" wide by 40" tall. It is in very good condition.
The US airline company Continental Airlines was founded in 1934, ceasing operations in 2012 when it merged with United Airlines.
