These sconces were salvaged out of 14 million dollar Spanish Mediterranean home that was owned by the late poet Rod McKuen . They hung in the main living room alongside a huge Baccarat crystal chandelier that was completely candle lit. The chandelier is being auctioned separate. I am led to believe that these lights are made of bronze, although I am not positive. My favorite part about these lights is the amazing detail in the man's face in the middle. The entire light is dripping with detail! It appears that possibly the help had tried to clean them with a cleaner, you can see where some of the white cleaner sits in the grooves.
There are two sets of the sconces, this auction is for one set which is two lights. Four total available for purchase . Unfortunately the lights are not marked but I would not doubt if they did not come from Spain or Italy with this much quality and detail. This is truly a fine example of the lavish living and the Hollywood lifestyle multimillion dollar estates. The lights measure in with the backplate approximately 16 inches with the arms I spent approximately 10 inches wide. The lights appear to be an overall good condition the light pictured on the right the left candle appears to be either screwed back on or something it seems to tilt the little to the right but I do not want to mess with it in anyway I will let the buyer adjust it accordingly
