It was for sure the back off a canopy bed , a pure piece of art it could be use in many ways , just as a wall hanging or a bed spread , well endless possibilities , here , in 28 years in salling antique textiles this is one off the best piece we ever found , the coloring in the pastel side is soft well balance with lots of bleus reds , greens everything you can think about , the silk background reflect the light in a very magic way , it s speacks by it self . Size is impressive 118 H on 84 W just the embroideries . We saling here the embroideries not the background silk , that is younger than the embroideries , probably 1800 hundreds and is not in perfect shape like it happens often what would be done is to unstitch the embroideries and really on a newer back textile, a one time in a life time opportunity See less
