Eye catching Meiping /Mei Ping form vase with a beautiful and rare multicolour flambe drip glaze.
This is one of the most elegant forms of Chinese vases - also known as the Plum vase. A short flaring neck over a voluptuous body with a slightly flared foot - a beautiful balance of shape and form. Primary colours are creamy pale cream/yellow, greyish brown & red with hints of opalescence.
Large, striking statement piece with a fine carved rosewood stand that compliments the vase perfectly.
No markings.
Excellent condition.
