A band of red plum flowers on … Read more Chinese porcelain qilin tianqiuping, with a white glazed exterior, interior and inset base. A band of red plum flowers on a lattice of green polygons, bracketed by double, red trim lines, encircles the top of the neck and finely detailed, red, white and gold, Buddhist roses in a lattice of spiral leafy vines, decorates the rest of the neck, ending in double red trim lines and a band of polychrome, Ru Yi lappets. Quartered on the body of the vase are three qilins and a large Taoist Pearl of Wisdom, in polychrome glazes, all finely drawn and detailed. A band of green and tan, thin, reed-like lappets adorns the bottom of the base, just above the extended foot. A blue, six character, Kangxi reign mark within double circles is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
