The complete beverage service comprises a covered samovar, a separate tilting stand with handle, a removable burner, and two matching goblets.

The cylindrical vessel is fitted with a domed lid, decorative finial, shaped pouring spout, and an elaborate pierced handle. One side is embellished with the figure of a graceful woman, while the reverse depicts a crane surrounded by delicate leaves and flowering branches. The samovar rests within a sculptural boat-form stand enriched with additional floral decoration, scrolling accents, and shaped feet. Two removable goblets fit into holders positioned on either side, and the tilting mechanism allows the vessel to be angled for serving.

Reed & Barton was a prominent American silver manufacturer based in Taunton, Massachusetts, celebrated for finely crafted silverware and decorative serving pieces.

The complete set is in fair antique condition commensurate with age and use, with surface wear, oxidation, and losses to the silver-plated finish that contribute to its timeworn character.
