The details on the pair is … more A pair of harlequin bookends, probably dating from the 1940’s, now converted to lamps. The details on the pair is incredible with intricate hands, masks and facial features. Perched atop a stack of books, they are probably mocking Rodin’s “The Thinker”. Overall, their condition is good—there is a chip to the corner of one of the books and one figure has minor paint loss on its foot and shoulder (as pictured), which does not detract from their overall appearance. Both sit on 7” diameter stained wooden bases and they have been professionally wired and currently have a 75 watt bulb; shades with tripod fittings sit on the socket. Figures are 8” tall and total height is 20”. A truly unique pair. less
