Indian Jones Style. They Come from the Very Early Years of Aviation - World War 1 Era - Circa Approx. 1910s. Note that They are Quite Rare Being Made Out of Aluminum. It is a Interesting Fact that Aluminum Was Very Expensive to Produce Due to the Complicated Refining Process at That Time. Aluminum was Quite the Novelty Because of its Light Weight and Unusual Color Compared to Other Metals that had Been Produced in Prior Years. They Are Signed and Were Made By The Well Documented Optical Company COLEMONT in Paris France. They are Also Signed by The A.S. ALOE COMPANY - OPTICIANS in St Louis Missouri this Being Where They Were Originally Purchased When New. The Binocular Bodies are Covered with Hand Stitched - Fine Grade Exotic Leather. They Have Very Good Quality Optics - Focus Etc. They are in Very Nice Cosmetic and Functional Condition with SomeVery Light Age & Use Wear. I have Also Cleaned the Internal Glass Lenses so they are Ready to be Used and Enjoyed. They Also Come with Their Original Beautifully Hand Made Leather Carry Case with Shoulder Strap. The Case is in Good Condition but it Does Also Have Some Areas of Age and Use Wear. NOTE That the Light Surface Spots in Some of My Photographs are Reflections From My Lighting.
The Opera Glasses Themselves ( Without Case ) Measure Overall Approx. 4 1/4 inches Long Fully Extended x 3 3/8 inches Long when Collapsed. They are 2 1/2 inches Tall ( Front Lenses ) x 5 inches Long - Wide.
