This vintage Celestial print is based on a restored and very rare Antique German Constellation Map from 1849. It has wonderful hand-drawn details, bold lines and great lettering with an almost Modern feel.
About this map:
"The months marked at the foot of the map are to show the aspect of the Equatorial Heavens about midnight. By noting the stars on the map immediately over the name of the month, and then looking at the sky in the opposite direction to the elevated pole, the different constellations will readily be recognized. In Southern latitudes, reverse the map."
