Vintage Stangl Sportsman Pattern Pheasant Serving Plate
Number 3774
The Stangl Sportsman pattern was initially designed by Kay Hackett and was introduced in 1955. The pattern initially focused on smoking items but included two large serving plates. It remained in production until 1972. This pattern uses a gray engobe background with a realistically colored pheasant. Like most Stangl, it is hand carved and painted with no two pieces exactly alike.
Measures ~ 11" in diameter.
In excellent vintage condition. Without chips, deep scratches, or cracks. The colors are intact and bright. The glaze is shiny. Please see the pictures.
