The exterior is covered with finely drawn and shaded, red and white, Fu Bats amid a dense lattice of vaporous, polychrome clouds. The rim is glazed in gold, with a thin gilt band below, bracketed by very thin, red trim lines, and ending in a band of red and blue Ru Yi lappets on a lime green ground. Just above the extended foot there is a band of large, lime green, pink and red, Ru Yi lappets, ending in a thin gilt band, bracketed by very thin, red trim lines, matching the one at the rim. A red, six character, Guangxu reign mark is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
