Sculptural branches wrap around the body, sprouting glossy emerald leaves in high relief, with a speckled glaze that gives the surface a lifelike, textured skin.

Ceramic fruit like this was placed on Taoist altars as an offering when fresh fruit was out of season. The peach is the traditional symbol of longevity, making this a meaningful gift as well as a beautiful object.

Stunning grouped with other altar fruit in a bowl or on a tray, or on its own on a bookshelf, coffee table, or desk. A natural fit for chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, and grandmillennial interiors.

Small vent hole near the stem, original to the firing process.
