Handsome Baker Furniture Company side table in oak with a dark finish and parquetry top. Single drawer. A matching table with a round top is also for sale in my collection.
Siebe Baker, an immigrant from the Netherlands, founded an interior woodwork and door company in 1890 in Allegan, MI, just west of Grand Rapids. At the end of the 1920s, the company moved to Grand Rapids. Under the stewardship of his Siebe's son Hollis Baker and their descendants, the company gained world renown for excellence in design and craftsmanship.
