The warm ambiance of Northern Virginia hunt country is amply expressed in this beautiful oil painting realized by Sue Kelleher. The pleasing shades of auburn and greens set against the vivid red vest of the Huntmaster align eloquently in the perspectival depth of an antique trail surrounded by lush trees and glowing sunlight, inspired by a true-to-life locale: Featherbed Lane in Lovettsville, Virginia. The array of hounds and their excitable demeanor offer a delightful candidness preceding the thrill of the hunt.
Since first picking up a brush as a child, Sue Kelleher has had an unconditional and deep resolve to create strong images of beauty, grace and life. Painting in oil since childhood, she has mastered the medium to create splendid Landscapes, equine and hunt scenes. Sue was born and raised in Los Angeles. She moved to the East Coast with her husband in 1980. Her training includes studying with professional artists and attending classes in various colleges around the country. She is also a highly regarded oil painting instructor. "I am simply enchanted with life and beauty and I try to capture it. I visualize my paintings as if they were alive." This decree is clear in Sue's equestrian hunt series completed after her invitation to watch the Hunts of Northern Virginia. Horses are Sue's main interest along with Victorian garden scenes and Landscapes. Sue’s works have been featured in various regional galleries, exhibits, and have been commissioned for various private collections and luxury resorts.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
