I know that because I am the artist who painted this piece. I hail from a family of artists, artisans, woodcarvers, and iconographers dating back to the twelve century. It is my privilege and honor to be able to continue in a field forbidden for women until not that long ago. All the stained glass colors that I use I mix myself to obtain yet another hue that is not ready from the bottle and therefore unique in its shade of color.
It is large and extremely diverse in its use. I often suspend a small light bulb to illuminate the inside of the vase and the result is beautiful and a change of ambiance occurs instantly.
