I have had this poster in my collection for many years as every once in a while I do some research to find out if I can find any information about what the poster is for. Finally, the last time I googled it, I came up with something. I found a history of the radio city rockettes in photos article and there is an image in front of the photos from this exhibition. The explanation below the photo reads: "radio city music hall rockettes kick for the cameras at a photo exhibit showing the art deco interior of the famed hall on april 11, 1978. The exhibit, which opened on tuesday at new york's fashion institute of technology, is sponsored by the american society of interior designers. The show will move to washington d.C. Following its closing in manhattan on july 19." Finally figured out exactly what the poster is for. In doing all the research I have done, I have not found another example of this poster anywhere. This poster has it all. Art deco design for the rockettes, radio city, fit, and more. A large poster measuring 26 x 20 inches. Silkscreened on metallic mirror paper laid on a thicker paper stock it is really a beautiful work. Image and printing are in excellent crisp and clean condition. Edges show some bumping and small tears but nothing too bad. There is one larger tear in the upper margin but it could be easily repaired with some archival tape on the back. A few minor handling creases but overall an excellent example of this scarce poster. See less
