The outer edge of the rim is banded with a thin umber trim line. The neck is decorated with a finely carved pink flowering lotus plant and a white flowering lotus plant. The body of the vase is decorated with two cranes hunting on a sandy shore amid red and white flowering lotus plants and buds. A six character, Daoguang, reign mark in Zhuanshu script is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China period, no later than mid century.
