WAVES
Size: 48.5 x 67.5 cm (including frame)
Oil on canvas
A rhythmic and richly textured mid-century abstract composition, executed in oil onto canvas.
Embracing the principles of movement and rhythm, this abstract composition showcases a dynamic mix of yellow, green, and blue horizontal wavy planes of colour. They flow across the canvas, resembling undulating waves, suggesting movement and fluidity, and creating a soothing visual experience.
The textured surface, achieved through the masterful implementation of the impasto technique, adds depth and tactility to the piece, inviting viewers to explore its intricacies.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
