A mirror by Helen Hobey Baker. Built of a walnut trim, gold/brass interior liner and bevelled plate glass mirrors. The mirror is in excellent original condition, and have been hanging on the same wall for over 40 years. The mirror is configured to hang vertically at the moment but as you see in the pictures, there are horizontal hooks that it can be switched to. The mirror is wider at the middle which give them their unique taste.
"Hobey and Helen Baker were a husband and wife design team whose father was of enormous fame in the earliest turn of the century and was idolized by F. Scott Fitzgerald with the character of Allenby a minor character in the novel “This Side of Paradise”."
