On the Design:
This piece is believed to be an Afghan tribal rug of “Kohistani” design—a Persian term meaning “from the mountainous land” per its nomadic origins. Its geometric pattern is finely detailed, with variations of burgundy red, orange, navy blue and greige in its colorway. This is an exemplary, personal work of history, full of rustic, old world charm with vast design applications today.
Condition:
This mid-century rug enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Furthermore, its promotional price is in support of the women of Afghanistan.
