Here we have this melancholic blue ombre glass vase that has a unique feature that is atypical of Riihimaki, Finnish or Scandinavian glassware. In it's heavy sculpted bottom there is what appears to be an iceberg, a mountain or mountain range reminiscent of those in Lapland.
This Riihimaki style vase from Finland is in good condition with wear commensurate with it's age.
In case you were wondering; Did you know that Finland is not a Scandinavian country as most people believe? Though it is culturally and politically connected to Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, ethnically, the Finnish people are completely different.
