Gorgeous, chic, vintage, mid-century, coffee / cocktail table from France, with a green, marble top on a brass frame, attributed … Read more Gorgeous, chic, vintage, mid-century, coffee / cocktail table from France, with a green, marble top on a brass frame, attributed to, and reminiscent of the style of Parisian design house, Maison Jansen, circa 1960's - early 70's.

The rectangular, gilded brass frame, features an ''H-shaped'', geometric design, combined with curved edges shaped like the letter ''U'', that finish with ornamental décor (see photos.)

The marble top is known as "Guatemalan Green", a "serpentine green" marble with a rich, deep color and white veining, used by many architects and interior designers for luxury projects, due to the beautiful overall effect it produces. This color, in contrast with the shiny, golden color of the frame, the engraved decor at the top of all 4 sides of the elegantly fluted legs, as well as the ornamental decor of the base and feet tips, really make this glamorous table, a stand-out conversation piece.

Piece remains in very good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of of age and previous usage commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, top and legs (see photos.)
~ There are 3, light marks (not chips) as well as some micro-scratches on the finished coating of the marble, (please see photos next to a 1 centime coin, for perspective.) Some slightly faded areas of color on the frame and legs (see photos.)
~Table is sturdy, heavy and solid.

A fantastic, timeless piece that will blend perfectly with any given vintage, mid-century, rustic, contemporary or Hollywood Regency decor.
