Rare 1955 Wedgwood Sage Green Jasperware Teapot – Mint Condition
This is a beautiful, mid-century example of Wedgwood’s iconic Jasperware. Produced in 1955, this full-sized teapot is finished in the classic Sage Green (often called Celadon) with crisp, hand-applied white neoclassical reliefs. It’s a perfect collector's piece that balances 18th-century elegance with 1950s quality.
Exquisite Artistry & Design
This teapot is composed in a stunning neoclassical pattern in raised bas-relief design. The crisp, hand-applied white ornamentation features classical figures and lush floral garlands, creating a beautiful contrast against the velvet-matte stoneware body. Since its development in the 1770s, Wedgwood Jasperware has remained world-renowned for being as durable as it is beautiful.
A Rare, Functional Upgrade: The Glazed Interior
What truly elevates this piece is its fully glazed "shiny" interior. While most Jasperware is strictly decorative, this functional upgrade provides a non-porous, stain-resistant surface. This allows you to actually brew and serve tea without the risk of permanent staining found in unglazed versions. It is the perfect marriage of 18th-century style and 20th-century practicality.
