The figuration of the crotch mahogany is stunning, drawing attention to itself the minute light hits the surface. Then, there's the marquetry inlay with ribbons, equally as delicate with drops of mother of pearl, gadroon trim, single drawer, 8 internal cubbyholes, two document slots behind the front door, and triple front drawers with triple string inlay. All these details add up to the most uniquely sophisticated desk.
