Sourced in Belgium this crucible stand is new old stock from the 1970’s, never used. Crucible pots are high heat resistant pots used to hold and pour molten metal in a cast metal foundry, this listing is for a crucible stand, a hollow tube (and plug) used as a base stand to hold crucible pots. Made of a rich combination of silicon carbide they have the touch and quality of natural lava but these are very heavy industrial pots. Approximate weigh is 60kg per pot. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
