additional information:

marcel kammerer furnished the rooms of the grand hotel wieslers in graz with this bench and the matching armchair, a project he devoted himself to between 1905 and 1908. It was not until two years after the project that the model was offered for sale by the thonet brothers company. Models 413 and 414, which are almost identical, were presented in the magazine "thonet zentral anzeiger" on july 15, 1910. However, photographs of the hotel wieslers showing model 414 had already been published in the magazine "das interieur" in 1909.
model 414 enjoyed considerable popularity and was used in a number of coffee houses in vienna and prague. This piece has an attribution mark,
