Created in China during the midcentury period, this ceramic sculpture depicts a heron bird standing on a bunch of reed grass. Hunched over, the bird is covered with a delightful white glaze subtly contrasted by the presence of his cream beak, legs and glass eyes. His wings tucked to the back along his body, he is carefully looking at the ground.
