A complete set of six Limoges porcelain plates with designs by Salvador Dalí, from his 1974 "Conquest of the Cosmos" series. The imagery is unmistakably his — melting watches, a towering giraffe, elongated figures in desert landscapes — rendered in fine black line with accents of red, blue, and yellow on white porcelain, each plate finished with a blue rim and a facsimile of the artist's signature.

The set has unusually good credentials. Each plate is back-stamped with a notarised certificate from Limoges naming its individual title, and all six share the same edition number — 1639 of 4,000 — so the set has remained together since it was issued in the 1970s, rather than being assembled later from odd plates
