Age: unknown. I thought this was old because originally I found lamps like this that were listed as antiques around $500. When I just checked again recently recently because my listing expired, there are more like this out there for less money so I’m going to be lowering my price accordingly.
Height: 7 inches
Width: 7 inches
Depth: 7 inches
Origin: listed as from China by the auction house, I purchased this at. Other people are listening, somewhat similar lamps as Japanese.
Condition: very good condition. The door hangs crooked when it’s opened, but it doesn’t seem to be at risk of breaking, and it works fine. The hinge can possibly be tightened up easily with pliers, but it works fine. The simple hinge is actually part of its charm.

1. Use an app called Google Lens to take a photo of any item. It will bring up similar items and how much they sell/sold for. This is also helpful in figuring out what to call or how to describe the item.

2. Do a Google search for the name of the item.

3. Do a search for the item by name on Chairish and another similar site.

Since I am being fair with my pricing, I want you to know how to do this. It will only help me by validating my pricing choices, and hopefully it will help you to recognize items that are overpriced.
